<3 THE PROPOSAL <3
My side of the story
When I woke up on the morning of 14th January
2012 I thought it was just going to be a normal day apart from being in
Canada not England. I finally pulled myself out of my warm bed to start getting
ready for a very busy day! We were staying with a mother and daughter who Josh
met whilst serving in their ward (beautiful people J). After putting on 6 layers (no joke, 2 tank tops, a long
sleeved top, a shirt, a cardigan and a coat) and Josh putting on all his layers
we were finally ready to be tourists J
This day was the coldest day I had EVER experienced -25 degrees,
think of eating a ladle of ice cream and triple that, major brain freeze!!!!!
After visiting friends of Josh’s we ventured on the subway to Dundas Square and
walked up and down the streets looking in the shops. All the window-shopping
created hungry people so we ventured to the nearest Wendys J Baconater and root beer MMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!
We then went to meet Mary at an open ice rink! So cool but so
cold!!!!!!! We decided maybe ice-skating wasn’t really a good idea in this
freezing weather but we still had to wait for Mary. After an hour there was still
no sign of Mary so we headed to a Library to contact her but by the time we got
round to emailing Mary the computer shut down as the library was shutting!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
So we decided to head to get a hot chocolate from the best place
ever, Tim Hortons and also we could use their free Wi-Fi J score!
After finally
being able to contact Mary we saw her beautiful face arrive into the café!! We
soon decided to brave the cold and head back to Dundas Square to see all the
lights. Through spending a lot of time just walking by myself, as Josh and Mary
had to ‘chat.’ After taking lots of photos and looking around we arrived at a
square junction that needed to be crossed for us to get to the subway. We stood
waiting for our green man to shine so we could cross diagonally across the
road. YAY the green man is shining (not knowing this green man was going to
change the rest of my life J).
As we started crossing Josh suddenly stops in the middle of the
road, my first reaction is to tell Josh that we are going to get run over so
come on!! Next thing I know my best friend is saying the most sweetest things
(I am not writing as I do like to keep some things private ;) haha!) once
catching on to what these words may be leading to I leapt back and screamed.
He
reached in his pocket and out he pulled this massive box at this point I
covered my eyes (don’t ask why, I wanted to see the ring too J).
I finally came
around as he uttered the words that every little princess wants to hear, ‘WILL
YOU MARRY ME?’ and of course my reply ‘YES YES YES YES’ not realizing that I
needed to take my gloves off for him to place the most beautiful ring ever onto
my finger.
We had claps from every corner of the square and every car
beeping their horns and shouting congratulations to us J Perfect J
What more could a girl
dream of.
My fiancé was so brave he stopped traffic to make me the
happiest girl in the world J
I LOVE YOU
