Wedding Dress Shopping- Part 2

Just to let you know there are no dresses that were harmed by vomit during the making of this blog post.

My second wedding dress shopping day :D Hopefully this time wont be as much of a disaster as the last time was :D

My sister and I researched for where a wedding dress shop that stocked a certain wedding dress designer I was desperate to try on.

<3 Pronovias dress <3

Luckily we were able to find a shop close by called Matchmaker. Dare I say that this shop is located in Brentwood Essex just around the corner from Amy Childs (TOWIE) salon so lets just say I was very nervous to see what these Brentwood dresses were like.

Entering the shop with mummy, Liane, Tayla and Jensen to help me make my decision! I was so excited!! Surrounded by beautiful dresses I was in my dream world :D:D I had been given full range of picking dresses and having my little lady get the dresses ready to try on :D After picking out a trillion dresses I decided maybe I should try some on.

Who cares about what the other dresses were like lets just get to the ONE!!!

The thing is I hadn’t actually picked out my wedding dress, my little helper knew me better than I thought. Basically I had to explain to her that I either needed a dress with sleeves or with a dress with a shrug, her face lit up and she said to me I know ‘the one’!!! She rushed back with this certain dress. It was Pronovias (my designer!!!) and it had a shrug that came with it, I wasn’t too convinced when she first showed it to me but I thought I should try it on! I slipped it on and it felt amazing but I was concerned as there wasn’t any bling (everyone that knows me knows I LOVE bling!!!) so she quickly ran out and came back with a belt covered in diamonds wrapped it round my waist, what more could I ask for!

I couldn’t wait to see what the whole package looked like with my dress, my belt, my tiara, my veil and ME :D

As I walked out I looked straight at my mum and Liane and I can say their reactions made me feel amazing! I turned to face the mirror……I look dang hawt!!! ;) I knew from that moment on that this was MY wedding dress, the very dress I had been dreaming of my entire life!!!!

Here we go ladies and gentleman………………My Dress (minus the belt)

I felt like a real life princess! Now bring on the Wedding day where I can wear it for the WHOLE day!!

Wedding Dress Shopping Part 1

Wedding dress shopping J today is the day YYYYAAAYYYYY!! I think I can speak for every girl and say this day is the day we have all been dreaming of since being a little a girl!! Trying on lots of princess dresses J

After hardly being able to sleep due to my excitement I woke up with a slight headache and a dodgy stomach but you know what nothing can ruin this day this is my day!

I woke up and hopped in the shower to smell and look fresh. Applying my make-up trying to look the best that I could for my beautiful dresses.
My bridal dress looking team consisted of Mummy, Liane, Jensen (yes he is a boy and a little bubba but I needed a boy’s opinion ;)) Mumma Herycz and Jodie. Wahoo……..Lets go girls ;)

We all headed in convoy to Maidstone shopping centre. We arrived to our first bridal shop called Jodi’s, which is where Liane had got her beautiful wedding dress from so we had high hopes. I had in my head different dresses that I wanted to try on but I wanted to try lots of dresses on.

My first wedding dress I tried on was from the Ella collection. My mum and I had found it on Pinterest and I just fell in love with the dress J I tried it on and I felt absolutely amazing (mummy cried obviously). It was so plain but gorgeous!

 How gorgeous!So elegant and beautiful!

(At this point I am feeling a little queasy)

Onto the second dress to be honest I cannot remember what this dress was called or what it even looked like all I remember was it was big and white J

(Still feeling queasy)

Now the third dress was absolutely beautiful big, white, sparkly and covered in diamonds everywhere. I walked out feeling the best I have ever felt. I loved everybody looking at me and I loved staring at myself in the mirror feeling so beautiful but….oh no! I turned quickly to mum, ‘MUM do you have a bag?! I need a bag! Mum I am going to be sick!’ (Too late). I projectile vomited onto the floor and onto the dress :S WHOOPS! My wedding dress helper ran and emptied the bra pad bucket so I could use that to throw up in instead of onto my dress whilst having everybody in the wedding dress shop stare at me. It definitely was like the scene out of the film Bridesmaids!!

Finally after I finished throwing up I quickly got out of the dress feeling so embarrassed and just got back into my normal clothes and slumped in their sofa whilst the girls looked for bridesmaid dresses. Needing the ground to open up and take me away from this awkward situation!!

So, after trying on three wedding dresses I was done! We went to a few other shops but I just couldn’t bring myself to try on any more dresses!

Brides to be FYI the day you plan to go wedding dress shopping, it may turn out differently to how you may have dreamt it!

Fingers crossed my next trip wont be this eventful!!

I would also like to make a formal apology to my family there that day for what I made you sit and watch! I love you all very much x

Wedding dress shopping……TO BE CONTINUED!

Asking My Bridesmaids :)

As Josh has now asked his most important question to me (for now) it is now my time to ask my most important question……………………..Will you be my bridesmaid?!!! :)

With the Pinterest craze happening I searched high and low on there for amazing ideas and I thought I had found THE most perfect idea. But after taking some time to think I decided create my own idea. Pinterest 0–Jenna 1.
I love my idea. Here it is :)

Seen as Josh proposed to me I thought it would be cute if I proposed to my bridesmaids.

1.    I bought some cute boxes from paperchase to act as a ring box.

     2. I typed up my proposal to my beautiful bridesmaids and cut them into a heart shape so they were able to fit into the box.

3.
I then stuffed the box with cotton wool and then placed a Haribo ring on top and then placed the question on top.

4. I wrote another letter, which informed the bridesmaid that she needed to upload a photo onto Facebook with her answer to the proposal and if she has accepted my proposal she needs to be wearing the ring. :) I slipped the piece of paper in the envelope with the box.

5.     Hey presto!! Done. Signed, sealed, delivered.

6. I now just have to wait for my precious girls to upload their answer photos onto Facebook.

Such a simple idea but it was so much fun to make and send to the girls. I just hope they enjoyed receiving their proposal!

Here are some of their answers :)
